From Planning to Persistence: Finding Rhythm in the In-Between

If you’re carrying a vision but feeling stretched by real life, you’re not behind… you’re likely standing in the in-between. The space between planning and persistence is where rhythm is formed, burnout is avoided, and progress becomes manageable. I have experienced this space right there with you and wanted to break it down in a way that shows you how to pursue your God-given vision in small, steady steps that fit your current season – without hustle, pressure, or abandoning who you already are.

There’s a moment that comes after you’ve named the vision.

You’ve acknowledged it.
You’ve written it down.
You’ve maybe even told a trusted friend or whispered it to God in the quiet.

And then… life keeps happening.

Schedules shift.
Energy fluctuates.
Kids forget wrestling shoes.
Platforms change.
Seasons turn.

And there you are, still holding the vision.

This is where many of us start to wonder if they’re doing something wrong. If the vision was too big. If the timing is off. If they missed their window.

But what if this space isn’t failure?

What if it’s formation?

The space between planning and persistence

In Sisterhood, we’ve been talking about what happens between planning and persistence, because that’s where real life is lived.

Planning matters. When you plan from identity – from who you are, not who you’re trying to perform as – you create calm, clarity, and adaptability. You leave room for God to fill in what you can’t yet see. You honor the vision without strangling it.

And persistence matters too. Persistence is not hustle. It’s not pressure. It’s not forcing progress at a pace that burns you out.

Persistence is the quiet decision that keeps saying:

Alright… let’s keep going.

Even when the environment changes.
Even when other people’s stories don’t apply to you.
Even when the plan needs adjusting.

But right there in the midst – between planning and persistence – is something even more powerful.

The in-between is where rhythm is formed

The in-between is not a waiting room.
It’s a workshop.

It’s where rhythm is built – not by accident, not by pressure, but by intention.

We named three anchors that live here.

Permission.
You have permission to carry the vision God placed on your heart. You don’t need approval from outside voices for it to be valid. It’s you and God – and yes, community – walking it forward together. Sometimes permission sounds like grace. Sometimes courage. Sometimes it’s finally finishing the sentence: “Yes, but… and I’m still going.”

Poise.
Poise is readiness. It’s the ability to zoom out just enough to see your foundation. To pace yourself. To steward what you have. To take firm, aligned steps instead of rushed ones. Every step steady. Every step intentional. Not blinded by the vision, but guided by it.

Pursuit.
A gracious pursuit. One that keeps the vision close enough to guide you, but not so close that you can’t see your feet. When vision is too close, motion stops. When it’s held at arm’s length, movement becomes possible. Gratitude stays visible. Guidance stays clear.

Planning + persistence = rhythm

When planning and persistence work together – back and forth, like two cogs turning – they create rhythm.

Plan.
Persist.
Adjust.
Repeat.

Life doesn’t stop requiring things from you. But rhythm allows you to keep moving with life instead of fighting it.

This is how visions come to life – not in giant leaps, but in bit-sized, manageable steps that fit inside your current existence.

You don’t need more hours in the day.
You don’t need a different season.
You don’t need to become someone else first.

You need rhythm.

And that’s why Sisterhood exists

Because visions aren’t meant to be carried alone.

Sisterhood exists so you don’t have to white-knuckle your calling in isolation. So you have a place to recall permission, set your poise, and receive encouragement. So you can borrow courage when yours feels thin. So you can receive the kind of positive peer pressure that sounds like high-fives and “me too.”

It’s where we remind each other that you’re not behind – you’re becoming.

And if your heart knows it’s time to turn the noise down even more… to reconnect with who you already are beneath the expectations and pace… to revive rhythm instead of forcing momentum…

That’s exactly why holding this space inside ISO Prosperity Sisterhood matters.

Not to fix you.
Not to rush you.
But to help you remember.

Your vision is not asking for everything at once.
It’s asking for your next right step, taken with clarity, grace, and rhythm.

And you can start right where you are. You can start with the Anchoring Amidst Starter Kit that brings you maps and guidance for you to hold space for.
